Thermal spraying is a critical surface engineering technology that imparts specialized physical and chemical properties to material surfaces, including hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, oxidation resistance, thermal insulation, and electrical conductivity. These properties enhance component performance, extend service life, and enable repair across multiple industries.
The BP-120 is an entry-level plasma spray system designed for research and development testing applications. This versatile system supports multi-gas operation (Argon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Helium) with independent parameter control, enabling processing of over 100 coating materials including YSZ thermal barrier coatings, alumina ceramics, and MCrAlY alloys. Equipped with a water-cooled torch and real-time voltage monitoring, the system delivers consistent coating results for gas turbine components, semiconductor manufacturing, and medical implant applications.

The BP-120 system incorporates a 120KW power supply with dual IGBT modules and a water-cooled electrical system. This design results in a compact footprint, high energy efficiency, effective heat dissipation, and reduced fault rates.
The control cabinet includes a 12-inch touch screen with Siemens PLC digital control. Main gas flow is regulated by imported MFCs, allowing precise adjustment of process parameters. The system can store and recall spraying parameter formulas, facilitating consistent testing conditions across multiple experiments. It also supports connection and interlocking with robotic systems for automated operation.
Powder feeding gas is controlled by a float flow meter, with button controls for start and stop functions. The dual-channel water chiller provides independent cooling for the spray gun and power supply, with adjustable water pressure and temperature for each channel. The chiller is equipped with a 15HP compressor imported from American Copeland. The system comes with a 9MB spray gun as standard.
The BP-120 plasma spray equipment is suitable for coating a wide range of general industrial components, including cookware, bearings, graphite boats, rollers, guide wheels, sleeves, and shafts.
In the medical field, it applies coatings to artificial joint prostheses. Additional specialized applications include carbon fiber rollers, hydrogen production nickel plates, and electrode plates for sewage treatment.
The BP-120 supports four types of gases: Argon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, and Helium. It can operate with pure Argon or various gas combinations including Argon + Hydrogen, Argon + Nitrogen, and Argon + Helium.
The BP-120 spray gun has a maximum power output of 50KW. The system's total power supply capacity is 120KW.
The BP-120 can process over 100 coating materials, including metals such as Ni Cr and stainless steel, and ceramic composite powders such as Al₂O₃, YSZ, and nickel-coated graphite.
The BP-120 features a Siemens PLC control system with a 12-inch touch screen interface. It also includes float flow meters for powder feeding gas control and supports parameter storage and recall functions.
The BP-120 entry-level plasma spray system provides industrial clients with a cost-effective solution for R&D testing and small-scale production applications. Its flexible gas configuration and precise parameter control enable experimentation with various coating materials and processes.
